IRS Appeals
Appeal an IRS Revenue Agent or Revenue Officer action before it locks in, including assessments, wage garnishments, liens, and levies.
You can appeal many IRS actions when they claim you owe money, or when they move to collect through garnishments, liens, or levies. A timely appeal can hold some adverse actions until an Appeals Officer hears the matter. From there, court review may still be available.
- Challenge incorrect or unfair assessments and collection moves
- Work the Appeals conference with a litigation-ready record
- Preserve rights for Tax Court or other federal review when needed
Appeals is not a paperwork formality. The government weighs litigation risk. A tax litigator who can try and appeal cases raises that risk, which is often what moves an Appeals Officer toward a realistic resolution.
The IRS was trying to bully us and making up their own facts. We hired Cliff and he has done a great job of pointing out to them that he understands the laws and rules that they must abide by.
